General Care & Philosophy

What types of conditions can chiropractic care help with?

Chiropractic care can support many neuromusculoskeletal issues, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint discomfort, and postural imbalances. We also help with overall wellness, mobility, and injury prevention by optimizing spinal alignment and nervous system function.

Do chiropractors only “crack backs”?

Not at all. Adjustments are just one tool. We use multiple techniques (e.g. Diversified, Gonstead, Activator, Thompson Drop, soft tissue work) depending on each patient’s needs. We aim to restore movement, reduce pain, and improve function — not just deliver a “crack.”

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your condition, goals, and how long your symptoms have been present. Some people respond quickly, others need longer care plans. During your initial evaluation, we’ll estimate a plan, monitor progress, and adjust as needed.

Therapeutic Massage

What benefits does therapeutic massage offer alongside chiropractic care?

Massage complements chiropractic by releasing tension in muscles and fascia, enhancing circulation, reducing stress, and improving recovery. It can make adjustments more effective by loosening stiff tissues and helping maintain results between visits.

Are massages customized?

Yes! We tailor each session based on your specific needs — targeting areas of tension, tightness, or injury. Whether deep tissue, trigger point work, or relaxation techniques, we adjust to your body’s response.

Spinal Decompression

What is spinal decompression therapy?

Spinal decompression uses specialized tables to gently stretch the spine, reducing pressure on discs and nerves. It can help with disc herniations, degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, and nerve irritation by creating negative pressure in the disc space (a “vacuum effect”).

Is decompression therapy comfortable/safe?

When properly supervised, decompression is typically gentle and painless. You may feel a mild traction/stretching sensation. We monitor your comfort and adjust settings as needed. It is contraindicated in certain conditions (e.g. severe osteoporosis, fractures, tumors), so we evaluate safety first.

How many sessions of decompression are needed?

It varies. Some patients see results in a few sessions; others need more consistent treatment over several weeks. We’ll design a protocol and reassess regularly.

Insurance & Payment

Why don’t you take insurance / direct-bill insurance?

We operate as a cash-based / out-of-pocket practice to maintain greater flexibility, focus on quality of care (not insurance limitations), and avoid administrative overhead that can slow care or force unnecessary protocols. This allows us to serve you better, with more time and tailored treatment plans.

Can I still use my insurance?

Absolutely. We provide you with a superbill (itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance or out-of-network provider for reimbursement (if your plan allows). It’s best to check your benefits to see your out-of-network or chiropractic coverage.

How do I know costs up front?

Transparency is important here. We will review your personalized care plan and costs in writing before beginning treatment so you know what to expect.

Before & After Care / What to Expect

Will I feel soreness after a chiropractic adjustment or massage?

Mild soreness or achiness is normal, especially after the first few visits or when working into new areas. It often resolves within 24–48 hours. We’ll recommend stretching, hydration, and gentle movement to support recovery.

How can I maintain results between visits?

You’re part of the process! We’ll teach you exercises, stretches, posture tips, and lifestyle modifications (sleep, ergonomics, movement) that help maintain alignment and reduce flare-ups.

When will I see results?

Timing varies. Some patients feel improvements after 1–2 visits, others take longer. Chronic or long-standing issues generally require more time, but we’ll continuously track your progress and adjust your plan.

Additional / Miscellaneous

Do you treat children, infants, or seniors?

Yes. We see patients of all ages — from infants and children to older adults. We tailor our techniques to be gentle, appropriate, and effective for each age group’s needs.

Is chiropractic safe?

Yes, chiropractic is considered a safe, non-invasive form of care when performed by trained professionals. Complications are rare. We screen every patient to rule out contraindications, tailor forces appropriately, and proceed carefully.

How do I get started?

Simply schedule a new patient evaluation. We’ll take your history, perform exams, share findings and recommendations, and answer all your questions. You’ll never be pushed into treatment you’re not comfortable with.
